Two shows have earned remarkable victories against their timeslot rivals from the period of April 5 to 11, 2014. This is according to the latest ratings data from AGB Nielsen Philippines from Mega Manila households for the given period.
One of them is The Ryzza Mae Show, GMA-7's morning talk show hosted by child wonder Ryzza Mae Dizon. Since it started in April 8, 2013, it lagged in the ratings behind ABS-CBN's Be Careful With My Heart. The Ryzza Mae Show's debut episode in 2013 registered 17.5% against Be Careful With My Heart's 23.4%.
Now, The Ryzza Mae Show triumphed against Be Careful With My Heart on April 8, 2014, which featured its first anniversary episode. It received 19.8% against the Kapamilya show's 16.7%.
It also won against the Richard Yap-Jodi Sta. Maria-starrer BCWMH on April 10.
It remains to be seen if The Ryzza Mae Show can continue its winning streak.
The other show that posted another win is Angel Locsin's primetime drama The Legal Wife. The Kapamilya rating series has not been doing well in the ratings for weeks now, constantly losing to GMA-7's Rhodora X.
But the adultery-themed series is now on its way up, after it has finally introduced the actual adultery in its story.
In the previous week, the rating average of The Legal Wife for five days was 17.16%. For April 5 to 11, it is now 20.02%.
Last April 11, The Legal Wife also posted 21% rating against Rhodora X's 20.9%. Granted, this is only for one day and the margin is only 0.1%, but the upward trend is showing that The Legal Wife's victories will continue.
On that day, The Legal Wife emerged as the No. 3 most-watched program while Rhodora X landed on the No. 4 slot.
Good fortune is still on GMA-7's side, though, as its primetime shows are still the most-watched in primetime. Marian Rivera's Carmela is still the daily top-rating show on weekday primetime.
