Actress-TV Kris Aquino host gave birth to her son with cager James Yap weeks ahead of term. She was scheduled to give birth on May 6, by caesarean section.

However, early this afternoon, while she was on her regular check-up with her OB-Gyne, Dr. Grace Luna, Kris was rushed to the delivery room. The TV host/actress was experiencing contractions.

At 4:50 in the afternoon, the Aquino and Yap families welcomed Baby James.

Since baby James was prematurely delivered, he has has to be put inside an incubator to give him oxygen. He was also put under examination because the baby reportedly defecated while he was still inside Kris's womb.

PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked an OB-Gyne, Dr. Imelda Asanias, to explain what could be the implication of these instances.

The doctor said, "Kung nakakain ng dumi ang sanggol, kailangan i-examine ang bata dahil this may lead to infection. Kailangan din i-check ang maturity ng lungs [ng bata]."

At press time, the doctor has yet to give a medical bulletin on the condition of Kris and her second child.
