Chris Brown cannot leave Manila yet; waiting for pending clearance from DOJ

Hindi pa rin nakakaalis ng Pilipinas ang American R&B singer na si Chris Brown matapos ang ginanap na concert niya kagabi, July 21, sa Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.

Ayon sa ulat ng GMA News, hinarang ng mga awtoridad si Chris sa airport dahil sa pending clearance mula sa Department of Justice.

Simula nang dumating sa bansa kahapon, nasa ilalim na ng lookout bulletin ang 26-year-old American singer.

Kinumpirma naman ito ni Justice Secretary Leila de Lima sa reporters kanina, July 22.

Ang lookout bulletin order ay kaugnay ng criminal complaint ng Maligaya Development Corp. (MDC) laban kay Chris.

Ayon sa liham ni Glicerio Santos IV, legal counsel ng Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC), nais nilang masampahan ng kasong estafa si Chris dahil sa hindi nito pagsipot sa New Year's event concert noong December 31.

Kabilang din sa nais ng INC na masampahan ng kasong estafa ang kinilalang si John Michael Pio Rada.

Matatandaang sa mismong araw ng dapat sana ay concert niya sa Philippine Arena, nag-backout si Chris dahil sa diumano'y nawala ang kanyang passport.

Sa kabila nito, fully paid pa rin daw si Chris para sa talent fee niya sa naunsiyaming concert.

Dahil dito, ayon sa liham ni Santos: “We woud appreciate any assistance you can provide to us to protect the interest of MDC, and ultimately to serve as an example to producers and talents who employ such fraudulent schemes to obtain money from legitimate businesses in the country.”

Sa pamamagitan naman ng Twitter ay nag-react si Chris sa isyung ito: "Don't believe everything you read. It's a misunderstanding between Phil Casey and the promoters. Hopefully this will be resolved shortly"
