After months of intensive preparation, Katy the Musical finally premiered at the CCP Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino (Little Theater) last January 17, 2013.
The original Filipino musical chronicles the life and times of iconic bodabil singer Katy de la Cruz, who was the highest paid jazz singer during her time, and whose stellar career spanned more than six decades.
The musical, directed by Nestor Torre, with music by Ryan Cayabyab and libretto by Jose Javier Reyes, will run from January 17-27, 2013.
